The summer transfer window has entered its final hours, with several European clubs completing significant deals as they look to strengthen their squads before the deadline.
Manchester City, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Barcelona, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs involved in some of the biggest deadline-day transactions.
Here are 10 notable deals completed or confirmed on deadline day:
- Matias Fernandez-Pardo Lille to Newcastle United, £51m reported
Newcastle United have secured the signing of Belgium forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille on a long-term contract.
The 21-year-old, who is capable of playing either on the wing or as a central forward, becomes Newcastle’s eighth first-team signing of the summer.
The Premier League club did not reveal the financial terms, but reports in Britain have valued the transfer at approximately £51 million.
- Ibrahim Mbaye PSG to Aston Villa, £47m reported
Aston Villa have completed a permanent deal for Senegal international Ibrahim Mbaye, signing the teenage forward from Paris Saint-Germain for a reported £47 million.
Mbaye, 18, spent eight years with PSG after entering the club’s academy at the age of 10. He made history in 2024 when he became the French champions’ youngest-ever Ligue 1 starter.
His international profile has also grown, with Mbaye scoring for Senegal against France at the 2026 World Cup.
- Taylor Harwood-Bellis Southampton to Aston Villa, £25m rising to £30m
Villa have added further defensive reinforcement with the arrival of England international Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Southampton.
The 24-year-old defender joins for an initial £25 million, with the total potentially increasing to £30 million depending on performance-related add-ons.
His signing comes as Villa reshape their defence following the departure of Ezri Konsa to Arsenal.
- Gabriel Jesus Arsenal to Barcelona, £8.6m reported
Barcelona have completed the permanent signing of Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal.
The 29-year-old has agreed a contract running until June 2029. Neither club announced the transfer fee, although reports have placed the figure at around £8.6 million.
Jesus leaves Arsenal after four seasons in north London, where he made 123 appearances and scored 32 goals.
- Nick Woltemade Newcastle United to Juventus, loan
Juventus have brought in German forward Nick Woltemade on loan from Newcastle United until June 2027.
Woltemade only joined Newcastle last summer in a transfer reportedly worth £69 million but has now moved to Turin after one season in England.
During his time with Newcastle, the forward made 53 appearances, scoring 11 goals and supplying six assists.
- Pape Matar Sarr, Tottenham to Juventus, loan
Juventus have also strengthened their midfield with the signing of Pape Matar Sarr from Tottenham on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old Senegal international arrives in Italy after making more than 100 Premier League appearances for Spurs.
Sarr was also part of the Tottenham squad that won the Europa League in the 2024/25 season.
Juventus confirmed the move on Tuesday.
- Marc Guiu Chelsea to RB Leipzig, £14.6m reported
RB Leipzig have completed the signing of Spanish striker Marc Guiu from Chelsea in a deal reported to be worth £14.6 million including add-ons.
The 20-year-old has signed a contract running until 2031 and will wear Leipzig’s No. 9 shirt.
Guiu joined Chelsea from Barcelona in July 2024 and made 29 first-team appearances for the London club.
He recorded 10 goal involvements, including six goals during Chelsea’s successful Conference League campaign in 2024/25.
Guiu spent part of the following season on loan at Sunderland but was recalled only 25 days after joining the club.
- Ethan Nwaneri Arsenal to Borussia Dortmund, loan
Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 campaign.
The England Under-21 international spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille, where he made 11 appearances in all competitions.
Nwaneri has represented England at every youth level from Under-16 through Under-21, recording 58 appearances and 27 goals for the Young Lions.
The Dortmund move remains subject to the completion of the relevant regulatory procedures.
- Iliman Ndiaye Everton to Manchester City, £60m rising to £65m
Manchester City have completed the signing of Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton.
The 26-year-old joins the Premier League champions in a deal worth an initial £60 million, with another £5 million available through add-ons.
Ndiaye has signed a five-year contract and expressed his excitement at securing the move.
“I’ve worked my whole life for an opportunity like this,” he said.
The Senegal international made 74 appearances and scored 21 goals for Everton after joining the club from Marseille in 2024.
- Kevin Danso Tottenham to Sunderland, loan
Sunderland have secured Austria defender Kevin Danso from Tottenham on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The Premier League newcomers will reportedly pay £2.5 million for the loan, with an obligation for the move to become permanent next summer for £22.5 million if Sunderland retain their Premier League status.
Danso, 27, made 52 appearances for Tottenham after arriving from RC Lens in January 2025.
His arrival provides additional defensive depth as Sunderland prepare for their first European campaign since 1973.
Danso’s departure comes as Tottenham, managed by Roberto De Zerbi, move closer to signing Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
