Former Senator and ex-Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, has emerged as the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for the Anambra North Senatorial District ahead of the next general elections.
Oduah secured 22,076 votes across the seven local government areas of the district to defeat her closest rival, Primus Odili, in the primary election held on May 23.

In a statement on Monday, APGA National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, said the exercise was conducted peacefully across all 99 wards in Anambra North, with results collated and announced at ward levels.
He dismissed alternative figures circulating among some aspirants, insisting that only results authenticated through the party’s official collation process were valid.
“We state categorically that the basis for these computations is incorrect, and no credible result can be derived from such faulty calculations,” Opara said.
According to him, no results were altered or swapped at any stage of the exercise, adding that all figures remain as submitted by duly appointed collation officers across the seven local government areas.
“The election was conducted peacefully across all 99 wards, and results were announced at the ward level,” the statement added.

APGA also advised aggrieved aspirants to channel their complaints through the party’s internal dispute resolution mechanisms.
The party congratulated Senator Oduah on her victory and commended other aspirants for their participation, as well as members of the district for what it described as a peaceful and orderly primary election process.
