The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reportedly included Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in its revised presidential campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to the reported appointments, the three politicians have been assigned campaign coordination responsibilities despite their different political affiliations.

Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is listed to coordinate campaign activities in Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory.

Soludo, of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), is reportedly assigned to Anambra State, while Adeleke, who won re-election under the Accord Party in 2026, is listed for Osun State.

Their reported inclusion reflects the APC’s efforts to involve political figures beyond its formal membership in preparations for the presidential election.

The expanded campaign council is scheduled to be inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday, October 14.

The party had earlier announced a campaign structure on August 22, with former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari named Director-General.

Under the revised arrangement, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq are listed as Deputy Vice-Chairmen I, II and III, respectively.

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni is expected to serve as Deputy Director-General I for the North.

The council also reportedly includes several former governors, senior political figures and party stakeholders in advisory capacities.

Those named include Adebisi Akande, Abdullahi Adamu, Ibikunle Amosun, Segun Osoba, Iyiola Omisore, Ibrahim Dankwambo, George Akume and Wale Edun.

Obafemi George is listed as an adviser on media.

In a related development, the APC has reportedly established a Directorate of Election Planning, Coordination, Monitoring and Mobilisation to oversee aspects of its electoral preparations.

The directorate is expected to be led by James Faleke as Deputy Director-General, with Stella Okotete and Abdullahi Garba Ramat serving as Secretary I and Secretary II, respectively. Audu Maikori is also listed among its secretaries.

Other reported members include Soares Omotola, Bashir Dabo, Sheriff Mohammed Usman, Jibrin Bancir, Ayoola Peter Olajolo, Abubakar Sadiq Sada and Princess Folasade Ogunbiyi.

The appointments, particularly those involving politicians outside the APC, have raised questions about the nature of their participation and whether they have formally accepted the responsibilities assigned to them.

Their inclusion in the reported list does not, by itself, establish that they have changed political parties or formally endorsed the appointments.
