A Nigerian real estate firm, RevolutionPlus Property Development Company Limited, has raised concerns over what it describes as coordinated misinformation, false narratives, and media intimidation targeted at its Flourish Apartments & Terraces project located on Orchid Road, Lekki, Lagos.
The company made the allegation in a statement issued on Thursday and signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Bamidele Onalaja, noting that recent online and media reports have misrepresented ongoing issues surrounding the development.

According to the firm, while it acknowledges that some subscribers have expressed concerns about project delivery timelines and additional financial contributions linked to current economic conditions, it strongly rejects attempts to criminalise the project through what it termed blackmail and deliberate distortion of facts.
“We strongly reject the attempt by a small group of individuals to criminalise a legitimate commercial and developmental project through blackmail, media intimidation, misinformation, and deliberate distortion of facts,” the statement said.
The company claimed that over 70 per cent of subscribers on the project remain cooperative and understand the economic pressures affecting Nigeria’s construction and real estate sector, including inflation, foreign exchange volatility, and rising building material costs.
RevolutionPlus further stated that these economic realities necessitated additional financial contributions from subscribers to bridge funding gaps and ensure project completion.
However, the firm alleged that a small group of subscribers, estimated between eight and 13 individuals, have refused to comply with revised payment arrangements while continuing to demand allocation of units.
It also claimed that some of the affected subscribers had previously agreed to revised terms under agreements supervised by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The company questioned how the project could be completed if some stakeholders failed to meet their financial obligations while also allegedly engaging in negative media campaigns.
RevolutionPlus maintained that no property can be allocated without full payment under the revised framework agreed upon by stakeholders.
The firm also dismissed reports suggesting that its Chief Executive Officer, Bamidele Onalaja, had fled the country, describing the claims as false and misleading.

“The Chairman remains fully accessible and actively involved in overseeing company operations and project execution in Lagos, Nigeria,” the statement added.
The company reiterated its commitment to completing the Flourish Apartments & Terraces project, engaging genuinely committed subscribers, and resolving disputes through lawful and professional channels.
It further disclosed that its legal team is currently reviewing allegedly defamatory publications and coordinated misinformation campaigns, warning that it reserves the right to pursue legal action where necessary.
