Former Senator, Kabiru Marafa has reportedly defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), just weeks after leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a fresh twist to his political realignment ahead of the 2027 elections.
Marafa, who is expected to contest the Zamfara State governorship election, was said to have left the ADC following unresolved internal disagreements and alleged denial of the party’s governorship ticket.

According to party sources, the former senator has now secured assurances from the NDC for its governorship ticket, prompting his latest move.
His exit marks a rapid sequence of party switches, having recently left the APC over internal party disputes before briefly aligning with the ADC.
The development adds to growing political recalibrations across parties as aspirants position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
