Manchester United are among 19 clubs already confirmed for the league phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League, alongside European heavyweights such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to UEFA’s updated access list released on Tuesday, qualification spots are gradually being filled ahead of the completion of domestic league seasons across Europe.
Manchester United secured their return to Europe’s elite club competition with a 3-2 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford earlier this month, a result that ensured a top-five Premier League finish. They join Arsenal and Manchester City as confirmed English representatives, with additional Premier League sides still in contention for remaining slots.

In total, 19 of the 36 teams for the expanded league phase have already been confirmed, with more clubs expected to qualify as domestic campaigns conclude in the coming weeks.
The confirmed list features several of Europe’s traditional powerhouses, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain, alongside English sides Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
Other confirmed qualifiers include Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, FC Porto, Galatasaray, Lens, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Slavia.
In England, qualification remains competitive, with Liverpool and Aston Villa still in strong positions to join the confirmed trio, while Bournemouth and Brighton remain in contention for potential final-day scenarios.
Spain has already secured multiple representatives following Barcelona’s La Liga triumph, with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Villarreal also confirmed, while one final spot remains open.
In Italy, reigning champions Inter Milan have secured another Champions League campaign, joined by Napoli, Juventus, and AC Milan among the automatic qualifiers, with Roma still in contention.

Germany will be represented by Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig, while Stuttgart and Hoffenheim continue to battle for the final berth.
Elsewhere, PSG and Lens are confirmed from France, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord from the Netherlands, FC Porto from Portugal, and Galatasaray from Turkey.
Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk also feature among the confirmed teams.
The remaining slots will be decided as European domestic seasons reach their conclusion, setting the stage for the full lineup of 36 clubs competing in the expanded league-phase format of the 2026/27 Champions League.
