The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has called on residents of Abuja to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu and his administration, saying development efforts must be met with corresponding public support.
Wike appealed on Monday while addressing residents at Kado Fish Market during an inspection of the Deidei–Life Camp Road project.
Speaking during the visit, the minister stressed the importance of mutual commitment between government and citizens, stating that agreements and promises should be respected by all parties involved.
“This part of life is agreement, isn’t it? If you do for me, I do for you, no be so?” Wike said.

He further stated that since the government had fulfilled its responsibilities through ongoing development projects, residents should also reciprocate by supporting the administration.
“Now that the president has fulfilled his own promise, you must fulfil your own promise, isn’t it so?” he added.
Wike also assured residents that additional infrastructure would be provided in the area, promising the installation of streetlights to improve the environment and public safety.
“Don’t worry, we will install streetlights here,” he said.

The minister has continued to oversee ongoing infrastructure projects within the Federal Capital Territory as part of efforts aimed at improving road networks and public facilities across Abuja.
