The visit, according to NIPSS, was aimed at strengthening the longstanding relationship between the institute and the Nigerian Armed Forces, as well as reaffirming their shared commitment to peace, security and national development.

Speaking during the meeting, the Director-General praised Major General Oyinlola for his exemplary leadership and dedication to ensuring stability across Plateau State. He noted that the sustained efforts of the 3 Division under the GOC’s leadership had contributed significantly to the prevailing peace and security in the state.
Professor Omotayo also lauded the cordial and productive relationship between NIPSS and the Armed Forces of Nigeria, describing the partnership as critical to the institute’s mandate and the achievement of national security objectives.
He further sympathised with officers and soldiers of the Division over the recent loss of personnel during an attack on the institute and commended the military’s swift response, which he said prevented the abduction of any individual and quickly restored order.
In his response, Major General Oyinlola thanked the Director-General for the visit and for recognising the Division’s efforts in maintaining peace and security within its operational area.

The GOC reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Army to providing adequate security support to NIPSS and assured the institute of continued assistance whenever required.
He emphasised that the protection of critical national institutions remains a top priority for the Army and pledged sustained collaboration with NIPSS in advancing shared national objectives.
Major General Oyinlola also expressed appreciation to Professor Omotayo for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit the Division.
