Ibom Air has announced the appointment of Mr Mfon Udomah as Executive Director, Finance, and Dr Eno Udoma-Eniang as Executive Director, Legal and Corporate Affairs, as part of efforts to strengthen its management structure and support future expansion.
The appointments were disclosed in a statement issued by the airline’s Group Manager, Marketing and Communication, Mrs Aniekan Essienette.
According to the statement, the appointments are intended to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen corporate governance and improve service delivery as the airline pursues its growth objectives.

Udomah, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), brings more than 30 years of professional experience across the public and private sectors.
Udoma-Eniang, a legal practitioner, also has over three decades of corporate experience covering telecommunications, financial services and emerging technologies.
Essienette said both executives would assume their responsibilities immediately, while their appointments would be presented to the airline’s Board for ratification at its Annual General Meeting scheduled for November 2026.
The airline also announced the retirement of Mr Uko Udom, Akwa Ibom State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, from its Board after five years of service.
Ibom Air expressed appreciation for Udom’s contributions to the airline’s development during his tenure and wished him success in his future engagements.
Meanwhile, the airline has addressed allegations that it enjoys exclusive control over flight operations at Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo.
Ibom Air maintained that it has no regulatory authority to determine which airlines operate at the airport, explaining that such decisions fall within the responsibilities of the relevant aviation authorities.

The airline referred to Section 8(3) of the Civil Aviation Act 2022, which provides for the regulation of civil aviation activities in Nigeria by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
The clarification followed public discussions concerning the limited number of airlines operating from Uyo and Ibom Air’s position as the state-owned carrier.
The airline also highlighted its international expansion, including the inaugural Uyo–Accra flight operated on May 2, 2026, with a return service the following day.
The latest management appointments form part of Ibom Air’s efforts to reinforce its leadership capacity, corporate administration and operational development as it expands its aviation services.
