Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard, James Harden has been arrested in Harris County, Texas, and charged with misdemeanour unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to court records.
Authorities said Harden was taken into custody in the early hours of Saturday after a law enforcement officer reportedly spotted a handgun inside his vehicle during an encounter. Court documents allege that the former NBA Most Valuable Player knowingly and unlawfully possessed the firearm.

Details surrounding the incident and the circumstances that led to the arrest have not yet been fully disclosed by authorities.
Following his arrest, Harden was released on bond. As part of the conditions for his release, he has been prohibited from possessing weapons, consuming alcohol, or using illegal substances. He is also required to undergo random drug testing, according to the court filings.
