The family of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has announced funeral arrangements for the deceased, with burial rites scheduled to conclude on June 18, 2026.
Details of the programme were made public through an obituary statement shared on the actor’s official Instagram page.
Alexx Ekubo reportedly passed away on May 11 after battling kidney cancer. His family also appealed to friends, fans, and well-wishers to continue offering prayers and support during the mourning period.
According to the funeral schedule, activities will commence with a service of songs on Wednesday, June 10, at The Monarch Event Centre in Lekki, Lagos, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Guests attending the event have been requested to wear white.
A wake-keep has also been fixed for Wednesday, June 17, at the family residence located at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
The funeral service and interment are scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 18, at Mary Slessor School in Arochukwu, while the final burial will take place at the family residence in Ujari Village.
A reception is expected to follow immediately after the interment at Mary Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu, with attendees also requested to observe a white dress code.
The family expressed appreciation for the support received since the actor’s passing and requested continued prayers as preparations for the final rites continue.
