U.S. President Donald Trump’s approval rating has remained at 33% as Democrats appear more motivated ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.
The poll showed that Trump’s approval rating has stayed at the lowest level of his current presidency amid concerns among voters over economic issues and the administration’s handling of the ongoing war with Iran.
According to the survey, 46% of Democratic respondents said they were “very enthusiastic” about voting in the upcoming midterm elections, compared with 31% of Republican respondents.

The findings indicate increased political engagement among Democratic voters as parties prepare for the November elections, where Republicans will seek to maintain their control of Congress.
The poll also found concerns among voters over the cost of living, with many respondents expressing dissatisfaction with the handling of economic issues. The survey indicated that registered voters, for the first time in about a decade, viewed Democrats as having better economic plans than Republicans.
Trump’s approval rating has faced pressure amid rising public concerns over inflation, fuel prices and the impact of the Iran conflict on the U.S. economy.
The Reuters/Ipsos poll surveyed 1,167 U.S. adults and had a margin of error of about three percentage points.
