President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to receive the All Progressives Congress (APC) certificate of return and the party’s flag as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election on Sunday, May 24.
The announcement was made in a statement by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, who said the presentation will take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja following the conclusion of the party’s nationwide primary collation exercise.
According to the statement, President Tinubu will officially be presented with the APC flag alongside his certificate of return as the party’s flagbearer.
The event is expected to draw top APC stakeholders, including state governors, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC), federal lawmakers, and other senior party leaders.
Onanuga added that the ceremony marks a key milestone in the party’s preparation for the 2027 presidential election, as the APC consolidates its internal processes ahead of the national polls.
