Nigerian content creator Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has announced plans to host a livestream featuring Nobel laureate Professor Wole Soyinka.

Peller disclosed the proposed engagement in a video circulating on social media, expressing excitement about the possibility of interacting with the renowned playwright, poet and essayist.

The content creator described Soyinka as an intellectual whose contributions to literature, history and African cultural discourse have earned him international recognition.

“I want to do a big livestream with him. It will be proper English, that livestream,” Peller said.

He suggested that the proposed session would feature discussions on African history, cultural heritage and other intellectually engaging subjects.

Known for his humorous and spontaneous style of content creation, Peller jokingly warned followers to prepare for sophisticated English expressions during the anticipated conversation.

He said the livestream would expose viewers to discussions and perspectives different from those typically featured in his online broadcasts.

Peller, however, did not announce a date, time or platform for the proposed engagement.

There was also no immediate public confirmation from Soyinka or his representatives that the Nobel laureate had agreed to participate.

Soyinka, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986, became the first African recipient of the prestigious literary award.

His contributions to literature, theatre and public discourse have established him as one of Africa’s most prominent intellectual figures.

The proposed livestream has attracted attention because of the contrast between Peller’s entertainment-driven online presence and Soyinka’s distinguished literary career.

Further details are expected from Peller as arrangements for the proposed session develop.
