The Oyo State Government has lifted the curfew imposed on ten local government areas following a recent kidnapping incident in Oriire Local Government Area.
The state government announced that residents can now resume their normal daily activities after security agencies made significant progress in addressing the situation.
The curfew, which was initially imposed for sixteen hours, was later extended by an additional twenty-four hours to support ongoing security operations.
Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, thanked residents for their patience, cooperation and understanding during the period of the restriction.

He assured that the government is closely monitoring the security situation and remains committed to protecting lives and property across the affected communities.
The commissioner also stated that security agencies are continuing efforts to resolve the kidnapping incident and secure the safe release of the victims.
