Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has said that only divine intervention can prevent President Bola Tinubu from securing victory in the 2027 presidential election.
Baba-Ahmed made the statement while discussing the political landscape ahead of the 2027 election, amid growing debates over possible contenders and the chances of the incumbent president.
The former presidential running mate, however, stressed the need for a fair electoral process and a level playing field for all candidates seeking to contest the election.
His comments come days after he criticised leading presidential contenders, including Peter Obi, saying none of them currently possessed the capacity to address Nigeria’s challenges.
