The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has received a fresh wave of political support as members of the House of Representatives who recently defected to the party paid a courtesy visit to its leadership.
The lawmakers, who joined the NDC alongside their political leader, were received at a meeting presided over by the party’s National Leader, Henry Seriake Dickson.
The meeting focused on strengthening internal unity and deepening democratic participation within the party.

The meeting was also attended at different times by former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who both participated in discussions centred on national unity and democratic consolidation.
Dickson commended the lawmakers for aligning with the NDC and urged them to remain committed to democratic ideals, cautioning against what he described as efforts to entrench a one-party system in the country.
He encouraged them to continue working closely with their constituents in the interest of effective representation.
Also received were former Senator and military officer, Col. Amos Bulus (rtd.) from Gombe State, and Prince Yahaya Audu from Kogi State, who also joined the NDC with their respective delegations.
In a show of support, the Delta State chapter of the party donated a vehicle to the NDC.

The party leadership expressed appreciation for the contributions and those received since its formation.
Dickson reaffirmed that the NDC remains a people-driven political platform sustained by voluntary support and collective commitment to building a united and democratic Nigeria.
