British broadcaster Piers Morgan has predicted that the 2026 FIFA World Cup could produce a historic first, with either England or Brazil lifting the trophy under a foreign head coach.

Morgan shared his prediction on social media platform X, suggesting that this year could break a long-standing trend in international football where no nation has ever won the World Cup under a non-native manager.

According to him, England, coached by German manager, Thomas Tuchel, and Brazil, led by Italian tactician, Carlo Ancelotti, are the two strongest contenders to make history.

He stated that either Tuchel or Ancelotti could guide their respective teams to World Cup glory, marking what he described as a groundbreaking moment in the tournament’s history.

Brazil are set to begin their campaign against Morocco on Saturday, while England will face Croatia in their opening match next Wednesday as they aim to secure their first World Cup title since 1966.
