Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez has returned to full team training with Diego Simeone’s squad after recovering from an illness that kept him away from group sessions.
The Argentine striker rejoined his teammates during Sunday’s training session as Atlético began preparations for their next La Liga fixture following their victory over Sevilla at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium.

Álvarez had missed two days of team activities due to illness and had previously followed an individual training programme as part of his recovery process.
The forward last featured with the team during the match against Villarreal at the Metropolitano Stadium before stepping away from group training.
Atlético Madrid are now focused on quickly restoring the fitness and availability of their key attacking player, with the club hoping he can return to action for the upcoming league fixture.
Club official Mateu Alemany had earlier expressed optimism about Álvarez’s return, saying the team hoped he would rejoin training quickly and become available for the next La Liga match.

The striker’s return comes with only two days remaining before the close of the transfer window, as uncertainty continues over his future at the club.
Álvarez trained alongside teammates on Sunday, while players who started against Sevilla carried out recovery exercises.
Atlético Madrid are now preparing for their next challenge against Athletic Bilbao at San Mamés with Álvarez back in contention.
