Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has officially confirmed that he will leave the Premier League club, bringing an end to a highly successful 10-year spell at the Etihad Stadium.
The Spanish tactician announced his decision in a statement released on Friday, stating that the time had come for him to move on despite having one year remaining on his current contract.

“And what a time we have had together,” Guardiola said.
“Don’t ask me the reasons I’m leaving.
“There is no reason, but deep inside, I know it’s my time.”
Guardiola’s departure marks the end of an era at Manchester City, where he established himself as one of the most successful managers in the club’s history.
The 55-year-old concluded his final season with a domestic cup double but narrowly missed out on adding another Premier League title after City’s 1-1 draw against Bournemouth ended their title hopes.
Since taking charge at Manchester City, Guardiola has overseen a remarkable period of dominance, winning 20 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League crown.
His tenure transformed City into one of Europe’s most dominant football clubs and cemented his legacy as one of the most accomplished managers in modern football.
