Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for arresting three suspects allegedly linked to the attack on Ayilamo community in Logo Local Government Area of the state.
The September 10 attack reportedly claimed the lives of four police officers and seven other people, while several others were injured or remained unaccounted for.
The police said security operatives engaged the attackers in a gun battle that lasted several hours before the assault was repelled.

Reacting to the arrests, Alia described the operation as an important step towards uncovering those behind the attack and bringing them to justice.
The governor urged the DSS to intensify its investigation and pursue all available leads to identify other suspected accomplices, collaborators and sponsors of the attack.
Alia condemned the killing of civilians and security personnel, describing the incident as a serious threat to peace and security in the state.
He extended his condolences to the families of the victims, the people of Ayilamo and the police authorities, while commending the officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The governor also assured residents that his administration would continue working with security agencies to strengthen security in Ayilamo, Logo and other vulnerable communities.

He urged residents to remain calm and vigilant and provide security agencies with credible information that could assist the ongoing investigation.
Alia said his administration remained committed to protecting lives and property, ensuring justice and restoring lasting peace across Benue State.
