The Coordinator of the Office of the Akwa Ibom State First Lady, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, has commended women across the state for their active participation and support during the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries, describing their contributions as instrumental to the peaceful and successful conduct of the exercise.
Lady Obareki gave the commendation on Thursday, May 28, 2026, while addressing worshippers at the May edition of the Akwa Ibom Women’s Prayer Service themed “Supernatural Performance,” held at the Government House Banquet Hall, Uyo.
She urged women in the state to intensify their commitment during the campaign period and general elections to ensure victory for Governor Umo Eno and all APC candidates.
“On behalf of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, and indeed on behalf of the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, I extend our sincere appreciation to every woman here for your support and contributions toward the successful completion of the primaries,” she stated.

Lady Obareki encouraged the women to sustain and even surpass the level of commitment demonstrated during the primaries.
“If you gave 100 per cent during the primaries, we want to see 150 per cent during the elections. As you prepare and meet with different groups, we pray that God will crown our efforts with success,” she added.
She also disclosed that sanitary pads donated by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, had been distributed to 26 local government areas under the Flow With Confidence programme for vulnerable girls in rural communities, urging the remaining five LGAs yet to collect their allocations to do so promptly.
Delivering a sermon on the theme “Supernatural Performance,” Rev. Grace Idem emphasised the importance of unwavering faith in God’s promises, noting that belief remains a catalyst for divine manifestation.
“For those who believe, there will be a performance,” she declared, adding that expectation must be accompanied by faith.

The cleric highlighted three principles of expectation — See, Say, and Set — urging believers to maintain a clear vision of God’s promises, speak positively, and position themselves through deliberate actions.
