The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed its participation in the ongoing three-day national workshop organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for leaders of registered political parties in Nigeria.
The workshop, which began on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, is being held at BON Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, and is expected to end on May 14.
According to a statement issued by the PDP National Director of Publicity, Adm. Chinwe I. Nnorom (Pst.), the training is focused on “The Regulations and Guidelines for Political Parties, 2026 and the Political Party Finance Reporting and Audit Systems (PFRAS).”
INEC invited the national chairmen of the 22 registered political parties in the country to participate in the exercise aimed at strengthening compliance with electoral regulations and financial accountability within political parties.

The PDP said it was represented at the workshop by key national officers nominated by the party’s National Chairman, Hon. Abdulrahaman Mohammed Takushara.
The party’s delegation includes the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu; the National Organising Secretary, Hon. Capt. Umar Bature; and the Deputy National Financial Secretary, Dr Grema Kyari.
According to the statement, the party officials completed the first day of the workshop on Tuesday.

The PDP described the engagement as important to enhancing political party administration and compliance with electoral guidelines ahead of future elections.
