Veteran journalist and former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Ima Niboro, has joined President Bola Tinubu’s campaign team ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Niboro, who previously served as a spokesperson to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has been appointed as one of the spokespersons for Tinubu’s campaign council.

His appointment adds an experienced presidential communications professional to the campaign’s media structure, having previously worked in the Presidency and headed NAN.
The campaign’s communications team is led by Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development, while the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, serves as co-chairman.
Other members include Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy; Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President and former Minister of Youth and Sports Development; Tunde Rahman, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties; and Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The team brings together journalists, government media officials and political strategists with experience in both traditional and digital communications.
President Tinubu is seeking re-election in the 2027 presidential election.
