Nine housemates are set to battle for the ₦160 million grand prize as Big Brother Naija Season 11 reaches its grand finale on Sunday, October 4.
The “Show Ya Sef” edition, which premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates, has been reduced to Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram.
The finalists emerged after weeks of nominations, evictions, Head of House challenges, disciplinary actions and twists that repeatedly changed the direction of the competition.
Among the season’s major twists was the Gambit arrangement involving Aikou and Flora. Both eventually became eligible to compete for the season’s grand prize.
Barry also played a significant role in shaping the final stage of the competition after winning the Ultimate Veto Power and choosing the “Immunity For All” option, protecting the remaining housemates from eviction and sending the group into the finale phase.
He subsequently emerged as the final Head of House of the season, his second HoH victory.
The road to the finale also featured several notable departures. Abi and Araga were eliminated in a double eviction, while Bells, Yusuf and Chimsom Chuka later exited in a triple eviction as the competition narrowed.
Nomy was earlier disqualified following repeated rule violations, while Keivo’s later disqualification reduced the final group from 10 to nine contestants.
The nine remaining housemates are now competing for the ₦160 million prize package, with the winner to be determined through viewers’ votes.
Official voting for the winner closed on Friday, October 2, at 9 p.m. WAT, leaving the outcome to be announced during Sunday’s live finale.
The finale is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. WAT on Sunday, bringing more than two months of competition to an end.
With official final voting figures yet to be publicly released, the eventual winner remains unknown ahead of the live announcement.
Sunday’s show will determine which of Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem or Tram becomes the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 11.
