Twenty-two suspected cult members arrested during separate police operations in Eku and Owhelogbo communities have been remanded in correctional custody following their arraignment in Delta State.
The Delta State Police Command disclosed this in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Bright Edafe.
According to the command, 15 suspects arrested in Eku were taken into custody by operatives of the Command Anti-Cult Unit, CACU, Sector 2, Ozoro.

They were subsequently arraigned before the Federal High Court in Warri on September 25, 2026.
In a separate case, seven suspects arrested in Owhelogbo by operatives of the unit were arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court.
Police said the suspects face charges relating to conspiracy and alleged membership of an unlawful society identified by the command as the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, also known as “Arobag.”
The court ordered the suspects remanded in correctional custody pending further proceedings.
Those named by police include Best Enarisa, 45; Alex David, 33; Precious Onokponu, 30; Joel Odafe, 19; Zino Oghene, 33; Oghenero Gabriel, 35; and Ofego Omaoke, 25. Other suspects were also arraigned.
The allegations against the defendants remain subject to determination by the courts.

Delta State Commissioner of Police, Samuel Erale, said the command would continue to pursue suspected cult-related offences through investigation and prosecution rather than stopping at arrests.
He also urged parents, community leaders and other stakeholders to provide credible and timely information that could assist security agencies in preventing cult-related activities and associated violence across the state.
