Aston Villa have completed the signing of Senegal international Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal reportedly worth £47 million ($63 million).

The Premier League club announced the transfer on Tuesday, describing the 18-year-old winger as a promising young player who has already made an impact at international level.

Mbaye featured 31 times for PSG in all competitions last season as the French giants won both the UEFA Champions League and Ligue 1 titles.

He also represented Senegal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making four appearances and scoring against France. The goal reportedly made him the youngest African player to score in the men’s World Cup.

Born in France, Mbaye has earned 15 caps for Senegal since making his senior debut for PSG at the age of 16.

“Aston Villa is delighted to announce the signing of Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain,” the club said in a statement.

The winger becomes the latest addition to Unai Emery’s squad following a busy transfer window at Villa Park.

Villa are rebuilding their squad after several notable departures, including Morgan Rogers, Youri Tielemans, Ollie Watkins, Lucas Digne, Emiliano Martinez and Ezri Konsa.

Emery has responded by bringing in several new players, including Alejandro Garnacho, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Johan Manzambi, Zion Suzuki, Joao Gomes, Leon Goretzka, Matteo Ruggeri and Nicolas Jackson.

Mbaye’s arrival further strengthens Villa’s attacking options as the club prepares for another demanding Premier League campaign.
