Arsenal have confirmed the departures of forward Gabriel Jesus and midfielder Fábio Vieira as the club continues to reshape its squad before the close of the summer transfer window.
Jesus is set to join Spanish giants Barcelona after the two clubs reached an agreement for the Brazilian striker. The 29-year-old forward leaves Arsenal after joining from Manchester City in 2022, having recorded 32 goals in 123 appearances for the North London club.

The move comes after Jesus struggled for regular playing time due to injury setbacks and increased competition within Arsenal’s attacking options. He had entered the final year of his contract, prompting the club to sanction his transfer before losing the player without a fee next summer.
Portuguese midfielder Fábio Vieira is also leaving Arsenal, with a move to German side Hamburg expected to be completed. Vieira joined the Gunners from Porto in 2022 but found opportunities limited under manager Mikel Arteta.
The midfielder spent the previous season on loan at Hamburg, where he impressed before negotiations began for a permanent transfer. The German club are reportedly set to complete the deal for a fee in the region of £8.6 million.

The departures are part of Arsenal’s wider transfer activity, with the club also preparing for possible further attacking reinforcements before the deadline. The Gunners have been linked with moves for attacking players as they adjust their squad following several exits.
Arsenal’s transfer decisions come as Premier League clubs enter the final hours of the window, with teams racing to complete incoming and outgoing deals before the deadline.
