The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the names of House of Representatives aspirants disqualified from participating in the party’s National Assembly primaries across several states ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the affected aspirants were marked “not cleared” following the conclusion of its screening exercise conducted in line with party rules and procedures.

In Ondo State, those listed as not cleared include Hon. Adefisoye Tajudeen for Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Olusegun Victor Ategbole and Seun Oluwashina Ajongbolo for Akoko South-East/South-West Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Arowole Ayodeji Samuel for Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, as well as Morufu Tosin Ibrahim, Oseni Oyeniyi and Olaleye John Adedipe for Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency.
In Bauchi State, Dr Bashir Ibrahim Bello of Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency was disqualified, while in Ebonyi State, Hon. Idu Igariwe of Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency was also listed among those not cleared. Kogi State had Sanni Salau Ogembe of Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency on the list.
For Rivers State, the affected aspirants include Air Commodore John Azubuike Opara (retd.) of Port Harcourt Federal Constituency, Hon. Anderson Allison Igbiki of Okrika/Ogu-Bolo Federal Constituency, Awaji Imombek D. Abirite of Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro Federal Constituency, and Hon. Boma Goodhead of Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency.
In Adamawa State, the House of Representatives’ direct primaries were disrupted in several wards following the absence of officials expected to conduct the exercise. Party members in Girei, Yola North and Yola South waited for hours without official communication on commencement.

The APC, however, did not state specific reasons for the disqualification of the affected aspirants. The development forms part of the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections as the screening and primary processes continue nationwide.
