Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Allwell Ademola, was laid to rest on Friday at the Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos, amid tears and tributes from colleagues, friends and family members.
Several Nollywood stars were present at the burial to pay their last respects to the late actress.
Among them were Toyin Abraham, Biola Adebayo, Rotimi Salami, Saidi Balogun, and other industry practitioners.
The burial followed a series of funeral activities held in her honour on Thursday, including a service of songs, candlelight procession and a wrap prayer, which drew a large gathering of Nollywood actors, filmmakers and well-wishers.
The events provided an opportunity for colleagues to celebrate the life, career and contributions of the actress to the Nigerian film industry.
Ademola reportedly died on December 27 after suffering a heart attack at her residence.
Until her death, she was known for her roles in Yoruba and English-language films, as well as her work as a filmmaker, earning admiration from colleagues for her passion and dedication to the craft.
