Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has praised Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, for what she described as visionary and purposeful leadership reflected in the state’s ongoing development projects.
Ojukwu made the remarks on Saturday in Uyo after touring key projects undertaken by the state government, including the ARISE Palm Resort, Ibom Convention Centre, Ibom Hotel, the Medical City, and the Senior Citizens Centre.
The minister, who is in Akwa Ibom for an orientation seminar organised by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Ambassadors-Designate to West African countries, said the projects demonstrated a holistic approach to governance and development.

According to her, the scope and quality of the infrastructure initiatives underscore Governor Eno’s commitment to transforming the state and improving the welfare of its people.
“Looking at what I have seen on the ground since I arrived in Akwa Ibom State, I can firmly adjudge Governor Umo Eno as a phenomenal and intentional leader,” she said.
Ojukwu particularly commended the transformation of the ARISE Palm Resort, describing the conversion of what was once a desolate gully into a tourism destination as a remarkable display of vision and creativity.
She also lauded the administration’s efforts in completing previously abandoned projects, noting that such initiatives reflect a determination to maximise public investments and accelerate development across the state.
The minister emphasised that sustainable development requires continuity and strategic planning, adding that the projects visited have the potential to boost tourism, healthcare delivery, economic growth, and social welfare in Akwa Ibom.

Ojukwu and members of her delegation were conducted round the project sites by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs Inibehe Silas, alongside other officials of the Akwa Ibom State Government.
The visit formed part of activities lined up for the orientation programme for Ambassadors-Designate, providing participants an opportunity to assess development efforts and investment opportunities within the state.
