Missing National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member and lawyer, Eunice Ameh, has been found unharmed days after she was declared missing in Abuja, bringing relief to her family, colleagues and members of the legal community.
Sources close to the family confirmed on Sunday that Ameh was found safe after days of uncertainty surrounding her disappearance.
“She has been found unharmed this morning,” a family source disclosed.
Ameh was last seen on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, after leaving work in Abuja and was reportedly found on Sunday, May 10.

As of the time of filing this report, details surrounding how she was found, where she was located and the circumstances leading to her disappearance had not been made public.
Her recovery came hours after the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) called for her immediate release and urged security agencies to intensify efforts to secure her safe return.
In a statement issued on Saturday night titled “Release Eunice Ameh Now!”, NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, described her disappearance as deeply troubling to the legal profession.
“When a young lawyer goes missing, the pain is not distant to the Nigerian Bar Association, it is personal,” the statement read.
“We are more than a professional body; we are a community bound by shared sacrifice, shared dreams, and a collective duty to stand for one another.”
The NBA noted that Ameh, who was serving in the Federal Capital Territory under the NYSC scheme, disappeared under troubling circumstances after work, sparking anxiety among colleagues, friends and relatives.
The association also urged the Inspector General of Police to deploy all necessary tactical and intelligence resources toward ensuring her safe return and bringing anyone connected to her disappearance to justice.
Before she was found, family members disclosed that Ameh had recently begun working as a Sales Manager with Blades and Butchers Ltd, located on Lake Chad Crescent in Maitama, Abuja.
According to sources, she had resumed work with the company barely two weeks before she went missing and was also preparing to complete her NYSC programme.

She was reportedly last seen around 5:40 p.m. on May 6 while heading home toward the Life Camp area of Abuja, where she resides in a corps members’ lodge.
The incident was reported to the Maitama Police Division, while NYSC authorities were also notified.
Her disappearance had generated widespread concern on social media and within the legal community before news of her safe recovery emerged on Sunday.
