President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that he is not intimidated by opposition voices, describing some critics as “noise-makers” who, according to him, fail to respect the rule of law.
The President made the remarks on Thursday during a meeting with leaders and coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors from across the 36 states of the federation at the State House in Abuja.
The delegation was led by Hope Uzodimma, who also serves as Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, where the group reaffirmed its support for the administration’s policies and reform agenda.
Addressing the gathering, Tinubu said his political journey including the party primaries and the general election that brought him to office had adequately prepared him for the challenges of governance. He stressed that his administration would remain focused and would not be distracted by opposition criticism.
“I am not discouraged. I am focused,” the President said, reiterating his commitment to delivering on his mandate.
Tinubu also took aim at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, raising questions about the outcomes of certain privatisation exercises conducted during Atiku’s tenure as Chairman of the National Council on Privatisation.
He urged a closer review of those policies, suggesting that their impact should be critically assessed.
