The Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Nasarawa North Senatorial District has declared support for the senatorial ambition of Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was made on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, when a delegation of CAN youths paid a visit to the governor at the Government House in Lafia.
The delegation, drawn from Nasarawa Eggon, Wamba, and Akwanga Local Government Areas, was led by Hon. Yakubu Kwanta and accompanied by members of the clergy.
Speaking during the visit, the group commended Governor Sule for what they described as his commitment to infrastructure development and good governance in the state. They noted that his leadership had positively impacted the lives of residents, particularly in the senatorial district.
The youths pledged their readiness to mobilize support for the governor’s senatorial bid in 2027, expressing confidence in his capacity to effectively represent the district at the National Assembly.
The development signals early political alignment ahead of the 2027 elections, as stakeholders across the country begin positioning for key elective offices.
