The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced its readiness for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with over 2.2 million candidates expected to participate across the country.

According to the Board, the examination is scheduled to hold from April 16 to April 22, 2026, in 966 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.

JAMB disclosed that 23 centres have been delisted following unsatisfactory performance during the recently conducted Mock-UTME, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining high standards in the conduct of the examination.

Candidates who are yet to print their examination notification slips have been urged to do so promptly via the Board’s official portal. The slips contain essential details, including the examination date, time, and venue.

The Board further stated that special provisions have been made for candidates living with disabilities through the JAMB Equal Opportunity Group, ensuring inclusivity and equal access for all participants.

In addition, JAMB issued a stern warning against examination malpractice, emphasizing that strict penalties will be enforced against offenders. Candidates were also cautioned against bringing prohibited items into examination centres.

The Board reiterated its commitment to conducting a credible, transparent, and hitch-free examination as preparations reach their final stage.
