RIVERS SIGNS MOU WITH FG ON CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT, TOURISM

The Rivers State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Renewed Hope Cultural Project to boost tourism, arts, culture and the creative economy in the state.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara announced the development after receiving the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, at Government House, Port Harcourt earlier today.

He said the partnership is expected to attract investment, create jobs and stimulate economic growth through the development of the state’s creative and tourism sectors.

The governor also received Queen Tamunosoye Karibi George, Nigeria’s representative to the upcoming Miss World Beauty Pageant, expressing the state’s support for her efforts to promote the talent, culture and heritage of Rivers State on the global stage.
