Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif has announced that a “final, agreed-upon text” of a peace arrangement between the United States and Iran has been completed, marking what he described as a significant milestone in ongoing diplomatic efforts to ease tensions between the two countries.
Sharif made the remarks during a public engagement, indicating that only procedural “next steps” remain before any formal announcement or implementation of the agreement. The claim has not yet been independently confirmed by Washington or Tehran.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi also pointed to progress in the negotiations, stating that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United States is “closer than ever.” However, he urged media organisations and observers to avoid speculation regarding the specific terms of the potential deal.
In the United States, President Donald Trump has reportedly reacted strongly to recent Iranian media reports detailing alleged provisions of the emerging agreement, condemning what he described as premature disclosures. He also suggested that diplomatic progress could be undermined by public speculation over sensitive negotiation details.
Meanwhile, violence continues in the wider region. Israeli military operations in Lebanon have intensified, with local reports indicating that the death toll has risen to 3,711, while 11,483 people have been injured since the escalation began.

Israeli forces are continuing bombardments and ground activity in southern Lebanon, further worsening the humanitarian situation.
