The race for the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League title will be decided on the final day of the season after dramatic Matchday 37 results left the championship battle widely open.
Enugu Rangers retained top spot on the table with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Bendel Insurance to move to 65 points.

However, Rivers United kept pressure on the leaders after securing a thrilling 3-2 away win against Wikki Tourists in Bauchi. The victory moved Rivers United to 64 points, just one behind Rangers, while confirming Wikki Tourists’ relegation.
The title race will now go down to the final round of matches on May 24, with Rangers facing a difficult away clash against Ikorodu City, while Rivers United hosts Katsina United in Port Harcourt.
At the bottom of the table, Bayelsa United were also relegated following a 2-1 defeat to Remo Stars.
Several clubs, including Warri Wolves, Niger Tornadoes, Enyimba and Plateau United, remain locked in the relegation battle heading into the season finale.

With the league title, continental tickets, and survival still at stake, the final day promises a thrilling end to the NPFL season.
