Supporters of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan have criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC) over its conduct during the Kogi State Senate and House of Representatives primaries, describing the process as chaotic and lacking internal democracy.
Speaking in Abuja, Natasha’s media adviser, Samuel Idoko, alleged that the irregularities recorded during the primaries exposed deep divisions and poor organisation within the ruling party. According to him, the process reflected confusion and manipulation rather than a transparent democratic exercise.

Idoko also questioned the decision by the APC screening committee to clear former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello for a Senate contest despite his ongoing corruption-related case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He described Bello’s clearance as surprising and disappointing, arguing that it raised concerns about the party’s commitment to accountability and credibility.
The PDP chieftain further claimed that dissatisfaction among APC members had created opportunities for the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi State, expressing confidence that the opposition party was gaining support across Kogi East and Kogi Central ahead of future elections.

He urged supporters to remain united, insisting that the PDP remained committed to addressing what he described as governance and political challenges in the state.
