An Israeli airstrike has killed four members of the same family in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, according to Palestinian medical sources.

The victims were a man, his wife and their two daughters, who were killed when their home was struck shortly after midnight, according to reports from Gaza.

Their bodies were later taken to Al-Shifa Hospital for identification and burial arrangements.

The incident comes amid continued Israeli military operations in Gaza despite a ceasefire that took effect in October 2025.

Recent reports have documented continued Israeli strikes across the enclave, with more than 1,300 Palestinians reportedly killed and thousands wounded since the truce began.

The Israeli military has previously said its operations in Gaza are aimed at addressing security threats and targeting Hamas, while Palestinian authorities have repeatedly accused Israel of violating the ceasefire.

Efforts to advance negotiations towards a lasting peace agreement have largely stalled, with major disagreements reportedly centred on Hamas’ disarmament and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
