The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans to introduce capital grant initiatives for students with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills as part of efforts to strengthen youth empowerment and economic development.
Minister of State for Education, Suwaiba Said Ahmad, disclosed this during the 70th anniversary celebration of Kaduna Polytechnic.

According to the minister, the proposed initiative will complement the ongoing student loan scheme by providing financial support to students with viable business ideas and innovations.
She said the programme aligns with the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in promoting education, entrepreneurship and innovation among young Nigerians.
Dr Suwaiba explained that the grants would enable students to transform creative ideas into productive ventures capable of contributing to national growth and development.
The minister also commended Kaduna Polytechnic for its longstanding contributions to technical and vocational education, describing the institution as a major pillar in Nigeria’s human capital development over the past seven decades.
She encouraged students to take advantage of government initiatives designed to promote learning, creativity and self-reliance, stressing the importance of innovation-driven education in addressing unemployment and driving economic progress.

The announcement comes amid ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to expand access to education financing and promote entrepreneurship among youths across the country.
