The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results for candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Board’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, who confirmed that affected candidates can now check their results through JAMB’s approved result-checking platforms.

According to the Board, the release of the mop-up results marks the completion of the examination phase for all candidates who took part in the 2026 UTME and the subsequent supplementary exercise.
JAMB also disclosed that it will immediately commence the ranking of candidates, a key stage in the admission process that determines eligibility and placement into tertiary institutions across the country.
The Board further revealed that the printing of admission letters is expected to begin before the end of the week, paving the way for institutions to proceed with admission activities.
“Following the successful completion of the mop-up exercise and the release of results, the Board will begin the ranking of candidates. Admission letter printing is also expected to commence before the weekend,” the statement noted.

JAMB expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, educational institutions, and other stakeholders for their cooperation, patience, and support throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the mop-up examination process.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent and efficient admission process for all qualified candidates seeking placement into Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
