An education expert, Philip Hayab, has urged the Ministry of Education to strengthen the process of reviewing academic textbooks before they are approved for use in schools.
Hayab appealed during an appearance on Good Morning Nigeria, on NTA, where he stressed the importance of engaging qualified professionals to carefully evaluate educational materials before publication and distribution to classrooms.

According to him, involving the right experts in the review process would improve the quality and credibility of textbooks used by students across the country.
He noted that a comprehensive assessment of learning materials is necessary to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with educational standards.
The educationist further explained that effective textbook reviews would contribute significantly to better teaching methods and improved learning outcomes among students.

Hayab maintained that quality educational resources remain essential to strengthening the nation’s education system and achieving meaningful academic development.
