Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT, has suspended three students of its Faculty of Law for two academic years over examination malpractice.
The suspension, which took effect on June 25, 2026, will run until June 24, 2028.
The affected students are Isong Ugwu, Gad Nwosu and Roseline Nnamani.
The university’s Registrar, Ambrose Ugwu, disclosed this in separate memos issued to the students in Enugu.
According to the Registrar, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, acting on behalf of the University Senate, approved the recommendations of the Senate Examinations Malpractice Committee.
The students were directed to hand over any university property in their possession to their respective Heads of Department and vacate the campus immediately.
The university said their sponsors and the National Universities Commission had been notified, adding that the students would be required to apply for readmission after the expiration of their suspension.
Meanwhile, another Faculty of Law student, Goodluck Iwuamadi, was exonerated from an allegation of examination malpractice in line with the recommendation of the Senate Examinations Malpractice Committee.
