Canadian music icon Céline Dio, has made a rare public appearance in Paris as she prepares to return to the stage following years of health challenges.
The Grammy-winning singer was spotted outside her hotel in the French capital on Friday, August 28, wearing a beige trench coat and sunglasses while acknowledging fans and photographers.
Dion’s appearance comes ahead of a series of performances scheduled to begin in Paris in September.
The concerts will mark another major return to live performance for the “My Heart Will Go On” singer, following her emotional appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Announcing the upcoming shows in March, Dion described the opportunity to perform again as a special birthday gift.
“This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life. I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you,” she said in a video shared with fans.

The singer has spent the past several years managing stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition she publicly revealed in 2022.
The disorder caused severe muscle spasms and significantly affected her ability to perform and maintain her touring schedule.
Despite the health challenges, Dion has continued working towards a return to music.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar earlier this month, she said she was determined to reconnect with her fans after spending a considerable period away from the stage.
“It’s been so long, I would like to offer them something to show how I’ve missed them,” she said.
Dion has also spoken about the intensive training and rehabilitation she underwent with medical and fitness professionals to rebuild the strength needed for live performances.
“The way I see it, I have two choices,” she said. “Either I train like an athlete and work super hard, or I switch off,f and it’s over.”
Her upcoming Paris performances are expected to run through May 2027, representing a significant milestone in her career and a return to regular live performances after years away from the stage.
