Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has announced the launch of a digital engagement platform, Ask AA, designed to allow Nigerians to question him directly about his political record, policy proposals and plans ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Atiku, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, announced that the platform would become available at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
According to a statement attributed to Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, the initiative will provide an avenue for citizens to submit questions on the economy, insecurity, unemployment, technology, governance and the rising cost of living.

The campaign said Atiku intends to respond personally to selected questions, while members of his communication team will assist in addressing other submissions.
Shaibu explained that the initiative was developed to improve communication between the presidential candidate and members of the public, giving Nigerians an opportunity to examine his political positions and proposed solutions to national challenges.
He said the platform would also encourage public participation by allowing citizens to raise concerns and offer suggestions on issues affecting their communities.
The campaign further disclosed plans to introduce a radio-based component to extend participation to Nigerians in communities with limited internet connectivity.
Announcing the initiative on social media, Atiku said effective leadership required continuous communication between political leaders and the people they seek to represent.
He argued that bureaucratic barriers had contributed to a widening communication gap between government officials and ordinary citizens.
The former vice-president said Nigerians would be able to question his previous public service record, examine his economic proposals and seek clarification on his plans for national security, employment and technological development.
Atiku also disclosed plans to telephone selected participants who voluntarily provide their contact information, allowing him to hear their experiences and concerns directly.

He described the initiative as part of his proposed approach to transparency, accountability and citizen participation.
The former vice-president invited Nigerians to participate by asking questions about issues they consider important to the country’s future.
The announcement comes as political parties and presidential candidates prepare for the 2027 general elections, with digital communication increasingly being used to engage voters and present policy positions.
The platform’s effectiveness will depend on its accessibility, the responsiveness of the engagement process and the extent to which citizens receive substantive answers to their questions.
