Presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, Aliyu Bin Abbas, has begun grassroots consultations with women in Kano State as part of his engagements ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

Abbas visited the Women Vocational Training Centre in Sharada Phase 3, Ja’en, Kano Municipal Council, where he met women to discuss livelihoods, vocational skills, economic empowerment and participation in national development.

The engagement focused on challenges facing women at the grassroots and the role government policies and programmes could play in expanding economic opportunities and skills development.

Abbas said the consultation was intended to provide women, particularly those in underserved communities, an opportunity to contribute to discussions about policies affecting their livelihoods and communities.

He reiterated his campaign vision of what he described as “A New Nigeria That Works for All People,” saying women and young people would occupy a central place in his proposed approach to economic transformation and inclusive development.

The Kano meeting forms part of broader consultations by the ADP candidate with communities and stakeholders as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 elections.

Abbas is among the presidential candidates on the final list published by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the 2027 presidential election.
