Portuguese football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Best Middle East Player at the 16th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards, held in Dubai on Sunday.
The 40-year-old Al-Nassr forward emerged winner in the fan-voted category, beating strong competition from Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez, and Salem Al-Dawsari, all standout performers in the region’s leagues.
The announcement was made by renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano via his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday.
“Cristiano Ronaldo wins Best Middle East Player Award at Globe Soccer 2025,” Romano wrote.
The honour marks Ronaldo’s second consecutive win in the category, following his victory in 2024, further highlights his sustained impact in the Saudi Pro League since joining Al-Nassr in 2023.

Ronaldo enjoyed a remarkable 2025 campaign, scoring 40 goals since his birthday in February, an extraordinary achievement for a player in his fifth decade.
The Globe Soccer Awards, organized annually in Dubai since 2010, recognizes excellence across the global football industry, celebrating outstanding players, coaches, clubs, agents.
