The Action Alliance (AA) in Osun State on Monday, December 15 elected Prince Olaniyi Fadahunsi as its gubernatorial candidate for the forthcoming election scheduled for August 8, 2026
Fadahunsi received a total of 150 votes during the party’s primary election, held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press center in Osogbo.
Delegates from all 30 Local Government Areas in the state participated in the election, where they unanimously voted for Fadahunsi.
It was gathered that the event was attended by members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, including National Secretary Hon. Miller Ogwu and National Women Leader, Hadjia Aishat Abdullahi, among others.

In his acceptance speech, Fadahunsi expressed optimism over winning the governorship election. He stated that the party is ready to correct the shortcomings of the current administration in the state. Fadahunsi emphasized his commitment to making a meaningful difference in governance, assured his supporters that all key programs of the Action Alliance would be implemented if he were elected as governor.
Fadahunsi, who hails Otan-Aiyegbaju in the Boluwaduro Local Government Area, promised his supporters an inclusive government if he becomes the next governor.
He also expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership, members for their confidence in him, vowing not to betray the trust.
