Troops of the Nigerian Army have reportedly rescued two women abducted by suspected bandits in Dirin Daji community, Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State, and arrested four suspects in connection with the incident.
The development followed an attack on the residence of Alhaji Aminu Mai Suga, popularly known as AA Suga, who serves as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairman in Sakaba Local Government Area.
According to reports attributed to North-West security and crisis reporter Bakatsine, armed men invaded the community and abducted the women during the attack.
The assailants also reportedly shot two other women, leaving them with injuries requiring medical attention.
Local sources said one of the injured women sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, while the other was shot in the buttock.
Both victims were reportedly taken to a general hospital for treatment.
The reports indicated that security personnel initially attempted to rescue the abducted women but were unable to secure their release during the first intervention.

A subsequent military operation reportedly led to the rescue of two abducted women and the arrest of four suspected bandits.
Details surrounding the rescue operation, including the precise location where the suspects were apprehended and whether weapons were recovered, were not immediately available.
The identities of the arrested suspects have also not been disclosed.
It remains unclear whether the suspects have been transferred to police custody for further investigation or whether formal charges are being considered.
The reported rescue comes amid persistent security challenges in parts of Kebbi State, where armed groups have carried out kidnappings and attacks on rural communities.
Residents in affected areas have repeatedly faced threats to their safety, livelihoods and freedom of movement.
Security forces operating in the North-West have continued conducting patrols and rescue operations aimed at disrupting criminal networks and securing the release of kidnapped residents.

However, the latest incident highlights the continuing vulnerability of communities exposed to armed attacks.
As of the time of this report, an official statement independently confirming the details of the Dirin Daji rescue and the reported arrests had not been identified.
Further clarification from military or police authorities is expected to establish the full circumstances of the operation and the status of those arrested.
